Our programmers are required to have a background in C++. Prior to becoming full Bear Code team members, they make the jump to Java. This allows us to capitalize on the world's largest and most widely adopted deployment platform ever – the internet.

Linux is an extremely powerful, reliable, and secure, open source operating system. In addition to being cost-effective, it is constantly being updated and refined with the latest technologies. Linux servers routinely have uptime in the hundreds of days compared with regular reboots required with a Windows system.
OpenCms
OpenCms is a professional level Open Source Website Content Management System. OpenCms is based on Java and XML technology. Therefore it fits perfectly into our modern IT infrastructure. OpenCms runs in a "full open source" environment (e.g. Linux, Apache, Tomcat, MySQL).
W3C Standards
These days, it is actually not that hard to make a web page. The challenge is to create a page that is accessible by users on any platform – including platforms we have not even conceived yet. The best way to ensure optimal rendering of your Web Application is to insure that the deployment is standards compliant. We start with compliant code and then adjust for the quirks inherent in popular browsers like MSIE. We deliver clean and compliant code that is designed to outlast your current browser! Although W3C standards are not yet fully supported by all browsers in all circumstances, creating standards-compatible applications is a best practice that we follow.
